“Fine things in wood are important, not only aesthetically, as oddities or rarities, but because we are becoming aware of the fact that much of our life is spent buying and discarding, and buying again, things that are not good. Some of us have had for long at least something, somewhere, which will give us harmony and a sense of durability— I won’t say permanence, but durability—things that, through the years, become more and more beautiful, things we can leave to our children.”

Tripus Side Table

Based on the three legs concept, the Tripus Side Table stands firm no matter the surface it is placed upon. It is made from solid wood to the core and joined with a hundred percent natural hide glue in every joint, making it a testament to sustainability and good craftsmanship.

The illustrated piece of Scandinavian ash, with exposed splines in genuine bogoak.

MoNo

MoNo is a tribute to the material and craftsmanship, the natural material we have the great privilege of refining as craftsmen.

The piece’s name refers to the Greek meaning “alone/single” and the specific technique used to craft the container.

The piece is for the observance and contains a small “quercus robur” branch. The branch symbolizes the material’s process and versatility, mainly referring to the growth process, and how everything big starts small. The piece is inspired by the Japanese Kyo-Sashimono technique and specialization in crafting exquisite boxes. It is made from genuine bogoak and rowan. The bogoak is dated to be approximately 4500 years old and salvaged 75 years ago from a bog near the studio in Jutland, by a friend of the family.
